About the Instructor…

Master Dennis Wood is a fifth degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do, a second degree black belt in Kum Do (Korean Sword) and a level three instructor in Tai Chi, being registered in Texas and in the Kukkiwon Tae Kwon Do School in Korea. 

 Having studied under Korean masters, he has participated in and taught martial arts for more than 18 years.

 He has competed and led students in competitions at the state and national levels.  His titles include first and second place in forms, breaking, and sparring. 

 One of his specialties is the instruction of weaponry, some of which include Nunchaku, Bo Staff, Escrima, Kum Do (Korean Sword), Kendo, and Foil Fencing. 

 In September, 2003, he was awarded the Lee Brothers Teacher of the Year Award and has recently been invited to Texas to give a seminar in Kum Do.

 He has taught people of all ages and ability levels.  His instruction focuses on teaching and inspiring confidence, respect, self-esteem, and discipline through the martial art of self-defense.
